Me: I will upload my Zara Larsson/Astrid S. concert blog post the day after, once I have uploaded all of my pictures and videos to my computer.

Also me: Uploads the post six days later.

Thank you all for being patient with my procrastinating habits! I had an amazing time at the concert and hope you all get the chance to experience Zara Larsson and Astrid S. live in concert one day too.

The opener of the concert was Astrid S, a talented pop singer from Norway. She's appeared on and had her songs played on the Norwegian web-drama, Skam - which I talked about briefly in one of my earlier blog posts. That's how I came to know of her, and I'm so glad that I did. In this video, she's performing her new song, "Someone New."

I've seen Astrid S live before, and I got to meet her for a pizza party before her concert!

Fun fact: I had a slight mental breakdown that summer and impulsively bought round-trip plane tickets to Oslo. When I say slight ... let's just say that wasn't the most ridiculous thing I'd done. BUT I had been able to cancel the first leg of the flight, and I was unfortunately unable to do the same with the return flight.

During my meet and greet with Astrid, I literally asked her if she wanted the extra plane ticket. Poor girl. I hope she forgot about that.

Here's her singing a brand new song from the night, "The First Time":

I was hoping that she would come out during the wait time for Zara to come on so I could see her again — but maybe after the 2017 "Will you take my extra plane ticket from Norway to come back to this city again because I bought it after a mental breakdown!?" conversation, it might have been best I didn't see her 😂

We were also jam-packed in that venue! There was this very handsy couple in front of us that kept grinding all over each other and making out — not to mention blocking our view of the stage. Now, look. I'm not one for PDA myself, but if you're at a concert and wanna have a good time with your boo, I'm not going to be a nay-sayer.

It's just when you cut in front of all of us in the back to the middle, and are completely inconsiderate of the people around you while you grope and grind on your boyfriend — we're going to get irritated.

So I didn't dare step out of line, in fear I would lose my already kinda crappy spot in the middle.

But then Zara came on and gave an incredible show! Girlfriend can sing, dance, and charm a room all in the course of an hour. I've also seen her before (in 2017 as well) at the same venue — when I thought she was the main act (she was actually opening for Clean Bandit). It was really thrilling to see her again and how enthusiastic she was to have her own headlining tour in the U.S.

Here's Zara being a straight up dancing beast — as well as showing off her incredible lungs.

When going to a concert where you know the artist more than your friends, it can be a little hard to stay excited and amped up throughout. Thankfully, both of my friends who came along were really great sports and really excited to be there as well. I've gone to concerts in the past where my friends showed how much less enthusiastic they were than me, and it's never been quite a fun experience.

I'm really glad though that Zara's getting more exposure in the U.S because she is incredibly talented, as well as woke and funny. I've been a huge fan of hers for quite some time and I'm really excited for her to release her next summer bop, "All the Time" — a song that reminds me so much of someone it's insane. It feels like Zara went through my head and wrote all of the lyrics I would've written if I could write a song.

Here's a last video of Zara performing her beautiful melodic song, "I Can't Fall in Love Without You."

Hope you all enjoyed reading this! What are some of your favorite concerts you've been to, or artists you've seen live? X
